This is, indeed, one of the best games of all time. Sandfall actually gave us an incredible story with an amazing gameplay. Everything is just superb and unparalleled. What a ride #Expedition33 was. It's such a relief to know that I managed to fix the dx11 issue with #FFXIV on my #Bazzite setup.

In case you're going through the same try going to the general Steam settings of the game and add "-dx12" to the launch option.

That way you should be good to go.

I did it! It was easier than I thought. In the Steam game properties I added -dx12 to the launch option and I could open the game without crashing! I'll further test tomorrow if in fact I can have a long game session with no hiccups. Thank you for your help!

Ok I managed to launch the game but only in windowd mode at 720p and this is as far as I got with proton 10.0-3

Gonna try that. Probably will try as many functioning Proton versions until one works. So far I tried with native compatibility and 9.0.4 before going to XIVLauncher (which didn't work). I'll let you know how it goes.

I play #FFXIV on Linux (Bazzite) end I ran to the deadly directx11 errors and myu game crashes. Still can't find a solution because everything is on Windows and, really, f*ck Microsoft.
