Back on here after a little while and can't believe how Twitter-like the nav icons look.

Threads is nearing X's daily app users, new data shows | TechCrunch Threads' mobile app for iOS and Android saw 115.1 million daily active users, representing 127.8% year-over-year growth.

But then they started cross-promoting the best content on Instagram and Facebook, driving users back into the Threads app.. Now they are at 115.1M DAU, closing in on X’s 132M DAU.

I stand corrected.

2 years ago I would’ve told you that Threads will go the way of Facebook Gaming, Lasso, Hobbi, and other clones that Meta shut down: A month after launch, Threads churned 82% of users.

That 82% was part of my T2 pitch to investors ...

Today I found out that LinkedIn has dark mode.

Settings > Account preferences > Display > Dark mode

At first that's what I thought it was but then on closer look it looked too produced

Waymos now have art on them … reminds me of Google Doodles.

Hi folks, a year ago I started a Twitter alternative (initially called T2, later called Pebble.is). Tomorrow we will be shutting down. We weren't growing quickly enough to be able to raise money to build it out.

Lots of lessons learned. Will share some of them here in a bit.
