It is. I was absolutely horrified at the level of nothing I heard about anything during my last weeks’ visit to the US. The silence was frightening. I tried to engage with everyone I stood in line with. Successful only 3 times.

I have thoughts reading all this. Just back from some time spend in Florida. Hadn’t been to the US for a long time. Unexpected trip. Was very apprehensive about going. Biggest takeaway: Nobody talks about anything there. Nobody. Scared the heck out of me even more.
