I used to hate webp files, but when I was working on a game I found that jpeg sprites were 10 kb (but had no transparency) while pngs were 150 kb
I was just about to cobble together a way to encode the alpha channel as a separate jpeg file when I suddenly realized that's probably what webp is for
haha, I'm seeing a lot of this same sentiment over in the cursed lands

Holy fuck, Unreal Engine is such a fucking nightmare to work with. It's insanely powerful but I dunno if it's worth the hassle.. I've been wrestling with it for like 12 hours' worth of dev time already and barely have anything to show for it

My dad is an old school sign painter (up until the mid 2000s almost every large sign was hand-painted). Lately he mostly just sits around playing shooting games in VR, although his favorite game was Operation: Wolf back in the day.. I'm trying to see if I can get him to help make a new VR version

The latency isn't visible, but you can feel it on high skill/tightly-tuned games. If you're having trouble with 100ms from game streaming you should double check your monitor and input settings though
