I've told people like this to fuck off forever. The first time it happened I felt betrayed, and most of all, hurt. But by the 3rd time I felt relief.

Though every time I've traced back the "friendship," I learned a pattern to watch out for so I know who to avoid.

What pisses me off is the manipulative language, and the brushing off like it's some kind of PR miscalculation.

This is insulting on such a deep level. They didn't miss any mark, they were spot fucking on. They got caught. They're being dishonest about it.

And if you're in LGBTQ+ spaces that celebrate NSFW content? Congratulations. You're part of that "10%". By default, being LGBTQ+ is in that margin.

So spare me the fake ass apology and the inevitable kicking of the can. Discord betrayed end-user trust, and doesn't deserve to have it back. Ever.

Discord's been in the shitter for a lot, but this is the last straw for me. This anti-consumer, AI first bullshit isn't cute. I've decided I'm moving towards shifting away from Discord permanently.

Discord gave us the gift of AI integration as something that is now integral to the user experience.

It's not optional. There is no opt out. There's no notification that AI bots have been installed into your server at all, or that user data is being piped through 3rd party servers.

I like building narrative, getting people to ACTUALLY RP, and in the D&D hemisphere, treating rules more like guidelines. The diplomatic approach fixed a lot for me. x3
