e621 is strictly anti-ai but her art was uploaded there. filed a takedown and moderation was quick to add her to a dnp list & delete everything people uploaded. kudos to the mods there.

the ai generated slop came from someone stealing it & posting on a FACEBOOK loona rp account.

I’ve just learned ablut the situation @theabbeyroadie.bsky.social is facing and I’m just appalled by what I’m seeing. Feeding someone else’s work into water destroying algorithms warrants a mental health check since they aren’t okay. Hopefully the situation blows over soon.

Wanted to take a moment to do an appreciation post for @theabbeyroadie.bsky.social, an absolutely wonderful artist whose work never ceases to amaze. The fact that someone disrespected her work feeding it to AI is BEYOND shameful. And uploading it to NSFW sites without her consent is disgusting.

@theabbeyroadie.bsky.social has been a dear friend to me and I happily go out of my way to support her. The fact that people would blatantly disrespect her and feed the comms to AI to sexualize them is beyond hateful. Shame on you. GTFO and how dare you. THIS ARTIST DESERVES BETTER.

Gonna be real: today put me through the wringer. Seeing an overtly sexual non-consensual edit of my work on a forum was violating for both myself and @x92.bsky.social, who commissioned the original piece. But I’m so deeply thankful for our supportive community in the wake of this mess. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Adding further: I’m not against NSFW at all. Consent for sharing is the key here. (And please don’t project something onto innocently made art then carry that over into weird DMs, i.e. a pregnant character just EXISTING.)

On top of that, now people are bothering my friends who order art from me with weird comments that STEM FROM THAT ART BEING SHARED ON E621. I’m not cool with that. At all. Please respect boundaries and leave my friends alone.

So not only did I have to learn what E621 was last night, I woke up to learn people have been uploading my art on there without asking. I love sharing my work with y’all but if it’s going anywhere unsavory, especially without permission, that’s extremely violating and really not okay.

How do I do that? Is there something particular I need to do?

I’m not fully comfortable with my work being shared in spaces I’m unfamiliar with, particularly those of the spicier variety. So it’s gonna be a no for now.

I was just made aware of a Sheraton’s policy against mini sticks during a hockey tournament weekend and they ABSOLUTELY made the right call. If kids were running around loudly playing hallway hockey outside my hotel room while their parents drunkenly egged them on, I’d be demanding a new room. 🫩
