I get it. Especially nowadays it’s hard to allow myself to relax and be entertained.
I’m inserting one non fiction book after reading two “fun” ones. They’re still on topics I find interesting. There’s just less smut, lasers, and magic.
(Not recommending you switch it up, your reading list sounds cool, just sharing).
I read the b-side of popular fiction (old, like 50/60s) or very silly (magic/paranormal investigation ). So I constantly sound like a very excited middle schooler when I talk about what I’m reading.
First time I’ve finished a book in three days since…2012? 2011?
Combo of toxic friend and dying dad take awhile to shed all the psychic sludge that prevents one from reading for fun and long stretches.
In my defense, I was mostly right on what I envisioned. But still. Sigh.
