Thank you for posting this. I read it in the NYT & called the dean to share my concerns. A world where teachers get silenced and punished for creating space for students to have essential conversations is not a world I want to live in, teach in, or raise my own children in.

Yes, it is nuts. And amazing (but not surprising) how many Silicon Valley execs send their kids to private schools - Waldorf, Montessori & other independent schools - where their kids will get a hands-on play and project based education. I’ve taught in those schools. It’s well understood.
