I give my all to expressing my love for things and am very self critical over lukewarm attempts. I don't think I would be capable of making a good comic about a character I was already not inclined to write about, and thus would dissappoint whoever was asking me to do so.
What I don't think these people take into account is that the things they originally liked about my comics were born out of a sincere love I have for a character. I'm not disciplined enough of a writer where I can just write good stuff, regardless of if I really care about what I'm writing about.
On occasion I get comments along the lines of "you should make a comic of X character next!". Which, while a bit annoying, I don't really mind. It expresses what to me is an earnest thought of "I think this artist is good and I want them to draw a character I like!" which is nice and flattering.
i love rei so much. i had a flash of inspiration for a script so now i get to draw rei over and over again for a comic. its not very long but working on it is making me feel really happy

the sub view has a similiar problem to opening a separate canvas for refs, which is that it takes up space on the screen. sub view also requieres you to have the image you want to view saved on your device and you can only have one open at a time. it has its uses but its now what i need... ;-,-)
i wish csp allowed modding or plugins. i would love to have artboards or the ability to drag references outside of the drawing area so they dont obstruct the view. now i either have to open an entirely different canvas or just have refs on another screen
