It also struck me that he mentioned something like the government contracts allow for such adjustments, so he would make his cut either way, and ultimately this comes back to the people via taxes or directly, to shoulder the burden. I suspect the same is true here. We all just pay more.
I heard an interview with a construction company owner a little while back about the effect of tariffs. My take away was that he wasnโt that worried because they are able to just pass along the costs and if people donโt want to pay it, they can go elsewhere, because there isnโt anywhere else.

Judge: it is very disappointing to be here, not just with any attorney but an attorney who represents the people of this district and takes the oath that he takes to do that

There's a new Trump-Epstein statue on the National Mall.
It's an enormous statue, spray-painted gold, of Trump embracing Epstein in a reenactment of that famous scene from "Titanic."

If you think you are reporting on a "Trump policy" pronouncement, you are not.
There is no such thing.
Trump did not announce a U.S. policy then walk it back. That is not what happened, and media presenting it that way does a disservice.
Trump said words he thought might appeal to his audience in the moment, with no connection to actual policy, then did that again with a different question/asker.
