The mural depicts a person confused and overwhelmed by recycling options, weather and on the right as a climate change affected drought area with refugees and silhouette moving across.
On the left in a green fertile land, there are wind turbines and and Earth and hands in a heart shape in the sky, and the statue of the Duke of Wellington wearing a traffic cone is firing a cannon with all the things we don't want including pollution and an angular distinctive electric car.
A red and yellow mural says look out for each other and features three living bees and some dead bees and multiple silhouettes of disabled people and a crow at the bottom. All of the text has graffiti and scribbles in it from project participants
No worries! It was wonderful to see the mural in real life! Thanks for inviting me to participate

Shows an extract from the outdoor mural design with the words 'look out' written in yellow on a red background with hands holding together a heart shaped fractured earth, and glasses over the 'oo's of 'look out'.
The mural team have been busy this week! A day of final touches today & then tomorrow we'll be celebrating the opening of not one, but TWO, murals in Glasgow! The key message is that we need to look out for each other, both as the world is now and as the climate changes. More info to follow soon!

An Open Letter to Zarah Sultana
Galina Rymbu, an activist living in Ukraine, responds to Zarah Sultana's recent remarks on support for Ukraine.
This is an important and heartfelt letter. Unfortunately there has been a real blindspot among some people on the British and European left. We should oppose imperialism and fascism, wherever they occur.

This is Alice's friend Sandy Ho, posting.
Per Alice's wishes, this message is being shared at the time of her passing.
Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin.
We need more stories about us and our culture.
You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.
You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.
You made a differenceβso much of a difference.
Rest always in peace, and always in power.

Gutting to wake up to the news of Alice Wong's death this morning. She was always kind to me, and she stuck up for me and fought my corner more than once, when I was a near stranger. She's a marvelous writer, editor, advocate and thinker. Farewell, Alice. Thanks for your urgent, caring work.

The War On Climate | Join the Climate Action
Explore how military emissions impact climate change and learn how to advocate for accountability and sustainable policies to protect the planet.
We urgently need honesty on the climate crisis.
Military emissions are excluded from national emissions figures. Yes, we simply pretend they don't exist.
That means there's little pressure to reduce them.
This has to change.

Title text reads βWhat is DisCrit?β followed by smaller text: βBased on the article βDis/ability critical race studies (DisCrit): theorizing at the intersections of race and disabilityβ by Subini A. Annamma, David Connor, & Beth Ferri. Written by Mary Yoon on behalf of the Center for Racial and Disability Justice.β The image includes an illustrated group of people. The Center for Racial & Disability Justice logo appears in the upper right corner.
DisCrit examines how racism & ableism intersect to shape systems of power that marginalize disabled people of color. It challenges βnormalcyβ & calls for collective action toward justice. Check out the video, one-pager, & other resources at crdjustice.org. Created by summer intern Mary Yoon. [1/13]

Making the case for wealth taxes on @SkyNewsPolitics just now. Rumours that Chancellor might seek yet more spending cuts are horrifying - public services are already on their knees & top 50 richest families in UK now hold more wealth than the poorest half of the population - over 34 million people.
