Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Listening to Marco Rubio - a man who was born in the US to non-citizen parents - talk about how it was fine to deport US citizen children with their non-citizen parents really kicked me in the guts this morning.
It's always terrifying when it gets quiet.
So during the previous season I was bedridden from chemo and every commercial that got jammed in there was for this little south Louisiana Trump supporter running for some office or another.
To see that in my face representation of us hustling toward Gilead was terrifying.
Walked out to the back yard with the pups only to find this complete horror show: the buck moth caterpillars covering limbs on my lime tree and my oak tree
Not me sitting here freaking out a little because the cost of clothes is about to skyrocket, and Joann fabrics is closing, so I have nowhere to buy fabric and yarn to make my own.
Nosedive
The result is still the same.
This baby has been with us for about 15 months. She's only recently wanted to be right up on my shoulder all the time. She came from a suspected abuse situation, and it has taken her a lot of time and some anxiety medicine to even start to settle in. She's my little baby angel.
My sweet knuckleheads. The only concerns in their heads are breakfast, walkies, and snuggles. Except for the one on the red pillow, she's super concerned about everything and has a very expensive prescription for doggie Zoloft.
So I guess mullets are out for them good ol boys...because long hair with bangs is a 'girl' cut, right?
Burry says it's time to get off work so we can snuggle! ๐ฅฐ
And then there's this guy with his "it's almost time to clock out" snuggles.
I saw this this morning and straight up cackled.
Poppy puts her paw on my knee.
The best thing about WFH is being able to get support from my besties while I'm working.
Crawfish? Gnocchi? What are we cooking here?
Finished product!

Back in the chair with Carrie, ready for her to work her magic!
Dysentery. Tuberculosis. Measles. Just waiting on the Small Pox announcement...
Happy Face puppy!
Once she realizes that "baby time" comes with sweet talk and belly rubs, we get happy face!!
Unsure of this
welllllll
Are you sure I can relax?
This is kind of nice.
It takes a couple of minutes to get to happy face, but she does get there, and every time we have "baby time" we get to the happy face a little bit quicker.
I've been trying some different things to let Poppy know that she can relax. She's been becoming friendlier with my husband, taking naps with him, and sitting with him in the evening. I've also been making sure we have "baby time"
This is Poppy. She's been with us a little over a year. When I adopted her they said she was "spicy". That's an understatement. She's got some puppy trauma that we're still trying to work through.
This is Poppy's happy face.
The Conversation is such a good film.

In new Orleans we've had military helicopter patrols overhead, plus military jest scrambling for several days now. My mom texted me to say her house was shaking from all the low-flying activity. My anxiety is at 1000
Please to note this one pulling the white power signal on his thigh.
