Chanticleer is a literary rooster who, along with his wife, Partlet (Pertelote), appears variously in the cycle of fables about Reynard the Fox, Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, and the collected tales of the Brothers Grimm.

Saw a screening of a few of David Lynch’s short films. I miss seeing art made viscerally, cheaply, and for a small messy audience. It actually makes the world feel bigger and more interesting. Mass appeal shrinks it all down.
