Managed to squeeze out 1011 words today for #mini1000 It was a bit of a struggle at times but I did it! Listening to Mazzy Star and Portishead to get me in the head space of the ghostly vibes of my short story set in the mid 1990s in Santa Cruz, CA.
Excited to start 2025 with #mini1000 to add words, sentences, pages to my collection of short stories. Let’s do this! ✍️
Writing contest fees, worth it or not? I just paid over $20 for a submission and am kinda regretting it. But there’s something about a contest that feels more urgent or special 🤷♀️
