Evening Mac
Same, need to have these latter day versions on CD
Bowie, Free, Edgar Broughton
Way to go!
Very nice, evening Pete
Latest from Andrew Wasylyk, along with a number of guest vocalists. Not normally a fan of these guest affairs, but this hangs together really well indeed. Was at the listening party so knew what to expect, but growing on me already. 'Irreparable Parables' (2026, Tidal)
The early morning listen, Shabaka Hutchings, 'Of the Earth' (2026, Tidal). His latest and more accessible for me than the previous ones as well as being more interesting. I like the wind instrumentation playing with/against each other. Fantastic, haunting in places π
Afternoon Roy
those West, Bruce and Laing albums were reissued as a box, excellent

The endless pile!

The next read soon to be lifted out of the pile. Thereβs always a pile isnβt there? Looking forward to it. John Higgs βLynchian, the spell of David Lynchβ (2025)
Final dip into the Mountain box set, and her we are with βAvalancheβ (1974, CD). Things staring to wind down, but still, and at least for me, another album giving some great listening pleasure π
From the Mountain box set, next out, βTwin Peaksβ (1974, CD). Again, another powerful album. Recorded live in Japan with another changed up lineup I really like this one, though seems to split opinions
π
BOC, LZ and Dan
Thoroughly engrossing and pumping out real tension, and nearly sweating as much as the characters. Film-making at its finest. Soundtrack is okay too, although more heard via the credits. π
Like the look of that!
Really quite enjoyed this. βParallel Lives, Blondieβ (2012, 2017 Revised edition). Although not quite up to date with recent events, this captures so much about the history and output of the band and the dynamics, attitude and context to their fame. Recommended β
And to you Mac, hope your having a great Sunday!
Canβt get enough, Bremer McCoy and βKosmosβ (2024, CD). These guys know their way around a tune. Gorgeous.

Great watch, BFI restoration. βCronosβ (1992, Blu Ray).
A debut film for Del Toro, and it still holds up really well, great ideas, execution π
Nice!
Hopefully you can get a resolution
