Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Back in the day, I could go to a shop with a dollar and come out with bacon, eggs, bread and butter…

…but these days they have cameras all over the place.

That involves farting the 1st, flattened 3rd and 5th notes simultaneously. A remarkable skill @trouteyes.bsky.social.

Micky Bubbles is the double malt, 12yo cask aged, single piece of ice, in a Waterford Crystal glass, sat by a comforting log fire, in a big oxblood Chesterfield, in your favourite slippers, wrapped in a Stuart tartan blanket, with a yellow lab at your feet, after an invigorating walk kind of Xmas.

During Covid lockdown, if you had family round on Christmas Day the police could force their way into your home and make them return to their own homes.
Does anybody know if this service is still available and, if so, do you have to book it?

An inconvenient truth for farmers: Brexit Many farmers feel that they have not been afforded the bounties once promised by Leave campaigners

In a survey for Farmers Weekly last year, 83 per cent of famers polled said Brexit had been worse than expected; 52 per cent supported a referendum on rejoining the EU; and 70 per cent supported rejoining the single market.

Don’t be had… Which report in 2021 found 98pc of goods on sale Black Friday were same price at other times of the year. If you genuinely need something make sure you KNOW it’s a good deal and avoid “
Browsing”.. if you don’t know you need you probably don’t!!

It has had a meteoric rise recently, but we need to remain vigilant. Twitter was a great forum for sharing ideas, news, funnies etc. in its infancy but it’s success made it a target for autocrats with less community favoured intentions. I will be happy to pay a small flat fee to keep it this way.

Agreed. I would be happy to pay a small flat fee that is not scaled according to how much of a public arse you want to make of yourself. Make it profitable but don’t sacrifice community for cash.
