I like this idea! Would you split the ranks/tiers like "top 10 players are the first rank", or "players whose score is within 90% of the top score are the first rank"?
@agecaf
He/him, mathematician, gamedev, Mexican- Spanish, based in the UK. I've made a rhythm game called EternAlgoRhythm. I'm working on a multiplayer puzzle game called Spaceabon Twogether. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2678290/EternAlgoRhythm/

Found it!
Ah, it seems I didn't get the request, maybe the username is "agecaf"? I can't find your username in discord. Sorry I'd DM here but the UK regulations and Bluesky's age verification are getting in the way of that : |
That'd be awesome! If you'd like we could contact through discord, my username is Agecaf. I'll take some screenshots of what the UI looks like later today
Oh that would be a great idea! I could use some victorian topographic decorations in the margins as copper accents. I also liked your idea in having medals for the top ranks.
It's a rhythm game whose theme is more steampunk and in theory cozy. Lots of instrumental music and the levels are eternal so players can always get longer combos. I was thinking of making something simple, like the leaderboards were written on paper by a typewriter?
So I'm working on making the leaderboards for my rhythm game, is there any advice you'd have? Any games that do their leaderbords really well? Any things you don't like about leaderboards?
I was playing on the Steamdeck and got to the snowy area! We chatted a bit more before I tried the game than after. I can't remember if I introduced myself, I've published a rhythm game with procedural generation and I'm working on a puzzle game with multiplayer.
This was a really fun game to play in the GDLX! I wish you the best with the development!
It is playable on Steamdeck, but it's unfortunately not yet available in other consoles though.
EternAlgoRhythm is a rhythm game for PC! It's got procedurally generated music and has 10 keys by default; but newer players can reduce this number or a family could split the keyboard and work as a team?

Let me know if you need any steam keys
Right, right before @eternalskiestcg.bsky.social realises I forgot about the tags (Thanks btw for sorting out the Small Indies Big Updates feed). This is a #majorupdate for a #rhythmgame with #procedural #music made in #Godot.
I want to thank @fizzd.bsky.social for his help with getting a cover of Distant Duet into EternAlgoRhythm. It's one of my favorite tracks in Rhythm Doctor!
The big april update for EternAlgoRhythm is finally up!
This has a new score screen and 4 new collections, including a collab with Rhythm Doctor @rd.7thbe.at !

Thank you so much! It's been an honour to participate in the GDWC among so many great games, and I am glad you've enjoyed EternAlgoRhythm!

So my sister's doing a cat-themed poker deck (a pawker deck). If you're a fan of cats it could be worth checking it out!

So I just finished playing Arco by @arcogamedev.bsky.social .
It was recommended to me and wow does it live up to its recommendation.
It's a wonderful game with exquisite pacing, beautiful art, fun gameplay, thrilling story and a great soundtrack.
I used to play LoL until the Linux version was exterminated. But recently found Wild Rift. I'd still rather be able to play on PC though but it's nice there's another option..
Thanks! Your game looks awesome, I've just joined its discord!
Let's share notes one of these days!
If anyone is wondering of us a good idea to make a programming language for your #indiegame, the answer is "probably no" but I still made one for mine anyway; here's the specification if you'd like to have a look
github.com/Agecaf/EarSc...
EternAlgoRhythm will be discounted by 19% for the Steam Autumn sale. It's a #rhythmgame with #proceduralmusic, and an #indigame by a #solodev.
store.steampowered.com/app/2678290/...
I will neither confirm nor deny that my discount strategy involves ever-increasing prime numbers.
I've been mainly using bluesky on my phone so I didn't notice hovering over users profiles was a thing. Thanks for the heads up!
Congrats on the new role!
That's awesome! Happy to see more rhythm games made with Godot.
I second this, it incorporates predicting the future into the story, and I like the enemies with fast movement in the layer levels.
Thought I'd share EarScript, the programming language behind the #ProcGen for EternAlgoRhythm. I wrote a specification and a "try it online" last week or so.
It's based on the idea: "what if brainfuck had goto statements?"
github.com/Agecaf/EarSc...
Music gen is quite fun, though learning what sounds good and what doesn't can be quite tricky. I've been dabbling with it for a while, but EAR is the only thing I've done that went beyond a proof of concept.. I want to try other types of procgen too though!
