All in all, I really, really enjoy Reyna. And I love characters like this. I obviously love trans characters, but I also love the opposite? People who dress outside their gender, expressing themselves as cishet in a somewhat queer way, even?
Is it perfect? No. But I think he's handled rather well.
I also feel like I can't forget to include that Reyna never even complains about dressing as a woman. Like, that tends to be a really annoying thing when people write these things. But he makes it clear he's comfortable with his gender and sexuality, stating he feels no shame in dressing as a woman.
And Glynne hating on Reyna? Yeah, he ends up wrong about that in the end! Reyna disguised himself as a dead woman who was expected to meet up with the duo in a dangerous place. He did so to protect a couple of strangers and make sure they don't die!
The one character who is rude to Reyna in the story does so for reasons outside of him being a man. It's moreso over Reyna being a stranger and the political climate they find themselves in (dealing with assassins and the like). Reyna is posing as one of the Pope's dogs, which is a bad look.
There are characters who are weird about Reyna in the game. I won't deny that. But I find it's done in a way I can accept. There are ignoreable side characters that will make comments on it, but there are only a handful of those. And they aren't part of the story.
Seriously though, Reyna is just a Mulan type situation, but reversed with a dude dressed as a woman. And the game doesn't linger on that fact too much? It's revealed very early on and the ultimate reaction is just: yeah, we don't care that you're a dude. You're free to stay with us.
Thinking about Reyna Eternal Poison and how much I love him. Very much one of those 2000s "dude dressed as a woman" tropes, but genuinely handled really well and it makes me love him so much. Because I kinda adore gender fuckery when handled with some tact.

No, I totally agree. I would've LOVED to see exploration of Yuri gender stuff through experiencing things masc/fem/han. It might've been a more fun way to explore Yuri convos with Setsu about being han. Which is why a 3rd Yuri hitting the montage baffles me.
Like, going by show logic of changing gender for notes, it can't be nonbinary Yuri because you get nothing special from being nb in the game (in fact, you lose events).
But by the game's standards, the basic Yuri would have to be masc b/c gender-locked romance events?????
I'm going to spend every day of the rest of my life questioning why they dropped a third Yuri in the montage.

Iโm so normal about Ashleyโs story in Eternal Poison.
I think Ashley and Reyna should team up to kill Glynne. They don't need him when they've got the Koona.
Trying to pick exactly 9 "me" games is hard. Gotta give honorable mentions to Slay the Princess, inFamous 2, and FE Engage.
(Also, Eternal Poison threatens to take a spot, but I'd have to beat the game first).
I might at some point give away some of the pins I care less for. Kinda just grabbed them for my lovelies (Raqio, Setsu, and Yuri). Gives those who want pins of the other characters a chance to get โem without buying the whole set.
