Tundra Bear
Earlier this year I drove the Dempster Highway up to Tuktoyaktuk on the coast of the Arctic Ocean. I encountered this beautiful grizzly on the autumn tundra, just north of the Arctic circle. Easily one of my favourite pics from the trip.

Last night’s geomagnetic storm was one of the best I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot! The deep reds were some of the strongest I’ve witnessed and arced from east to west and all above.

Top down view on some sand stone hills in Turkey. The morning light creates surprising contrast and reveals the different layers of colors. A dragon/dinosaur head shape appears from the patterns… Originally I had shot this image to be displayed vertically, but a good friend made me notice about that dragon head so I decided to display it horizontal to highlight it.
