My issue is that they didn't delay, they told rather than showed his 'progress' & did so on an insane time table for the trauma depicted. Now if they were to pull a turn around like your charlie therapy gold star comic in season 3 I could agree with you✨ (that comic is so good btw devastatingly so✨)

I'd argue that season 1 they were good at setting shit up, but when they had to actually make good on it (for ex. Redeeming angel through making him "clean" for the lord) they shoved that shit off screen so fast xP season 2 I felt followed the same issue vis a vis vox✨

And I would be so down to have charlie as an unreliable narrator, but it needs to be obvious, so far the show hasn't felt framed by any one character's persp, but told through stage performance style where the audience is pure in the room observer✨

Agreed but tbh it felt unsettling to me bc it feels p self evident that the writer's room rly likes to play with ideas they don't have irl experience with &/or they're very comfy picking up and putting down concepts with no regard 2 pacing, not bc they were intentionally fuckin w narrative style✨

If that was the intention then it needed to be turned up to a point where it's unsettling and interesting. We should be aware the narrator is unreliable if it's gonna switch up like that imo✨
