It’s 37 degrees Fahrenheit outside and I left my groceries locked in my cargo bike. I was too lazy to bring them up right away. I’m literally doing that meme where people store their fridge on public property instead of a car

My advice that you aren’t asking for… If you have the dough, do not wait. If you don’t have the dough, do everything in your power to change that. E-cargo bikes fundamentally change the way we interact with our communities. They make mundane tasks that would be done by car feel extraordinary
It remains to be seen whether this is specific to the di2 version of the hub, or if the cable version also has trouble. Black Iron Horse has moved away from the di2 hub after too many warranties.

Yep, Boston
Hey there. I’m an e-bullitt owner and bike mechanic. I’ve ridden and done maintenance on both the E-Nexus 5 hub and Cues. Send me a message, I’d be happy to chat
Just saw the new @bromptonbicycle.bsky.social P-Line, and it’s impressive. The Pacific lacquer in combination with their brazing is stunning. Hardware substantially improved from the T-line. Stem from the G-Line. All around lots of innovative improvements. And it fits in a cargo bike of course!
Aluminum, foam, or just something lightweight
Cargo bike manufacturers, here’s what I want. A front loading box that…
- Is aluminum
- Closes shut and is 100% waterproof
- Locks
- Provides comfortable seating for a small adult
- Can be removed easily with only one tool
I said the exact same thing, then I bought one! I’ve ridden bikes for almost 11 years and I’ve never had more fun. However, I don’t recommend the Carrie. It’s not small enough to be compact and not big enough to be truly capable of hauling large loads
Councilor Flynn has called for the purchase of snow melters. Please don’t waste money on these. What we really need is equipment and part time contractors to clear curb ramps and sidewalks.
I should be working part time clearing ramps, not being paid by wealthy people to clear their cars.
Oh, no biggy. You just wedge the saddle against your hip, give it a lil lift, and pivot around the front wheel.

I don’t really feel the need to do that. I have Bluetooth trackers hidden really well on the bike, a strong lock, and insurance. I wheel my cart to to it like everybody else AND put my cart back

I rode the Black Iron Horse cargo bike (trike) when I was in Zurich. WHY AREN’T THESE AVAILABLE IN THE US?! The ride is so smooth and you can whip this thing at speed.
😬
@ridebluebikes.bsky.social Serious question. When are you going to change the way e-bike rides are priced? Right now you are giving people an incentive to ride unnecessarily fast to avoid extra costs. By implementing a per mile or hybrid model of pricing, I imagine this would change behavior. ✌️
A couple years ago my dad bought an “environmentally friendly” Ford F-150 Lightning. We’re working on a cargo bike recovery now

This one doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad as yours, but it’s still disappointing
@americanfietser.bsky.social I sure wish I found your Youtube video on the Gen2 vs Gen3 duostand before spending $65 on eBay ☹️
I NEED MY CAR IN THE CITY! Really? Is that why most of you haven’t moved them in three days after a light dusting?
What’s really sad is the only vehicles with tickets are the contractors trucks actually being used.
Honestly, I don’t really use the face shield except when it is snowing/raining. The important thing is having integrated ear muffs like on a ski helmet.

Capturing families is a crucial part of a biking society. CPP is leading the charge in the Boston area. Every dollar we raise goes towards getting more butts on bikes, especially cargo bikes!
