when ethan was rescued, emmrich knew he made a mistake in bringing up their age gap & using that as an excuse for considering the break up. ethan loves emmrich with all their heart and they could never break up with him. he was the one that saved them when they needed it most & were at their lowest

after emmrich tried to break up with ethan right before tearstone island, (causing the argument) & ethan became trapped in the fade for three weeks, it made emmrich realise just how much he truly loved them. not being able to see, hear & hold them in that moment, broke him. he was lost without them

The voices in my head suggested that I should sketch my idea of Emmrich in his mid-thirties, so here he is, in some casual attire, acquiring knowledge instead of getting some sleep.

flirt too hard, instead he wanted to wait until they were ready and comfortable first (since he also knew they hadn’t been in love previously) before admitting his feelings for them. his main priority was making sure they were okay. he was proud when they slowly started to come out of their shell

emmrich thought ethan was quite charming and kind but couldn’t understand why someone as caring as them had no friends. he came to appreciate them more the more time he spent with them. he knew of their struggles and how they tended to shut themselves away from people. he didn’t want to come on/
