Wanted to mess around with layering abstraction so I made this today. Definitely the start of something I'm just not sure what... 🤔

3rd attempt at this guy is much better. A bigger canvas really makes a difference!

Also I promise to make something other than satyrs eventually. It's just my current fixation.

Things that are still confusing:

- making solid lines without streaks
- color mixing neutrals without making everything grey
- best canvas size
- painting details

Things I've learned:

- do a color wash and sketch first
- go from dark to lights
- use black sparingly
- don't blend, color like paint by number

In trying to get better at acrylic painting. It's been a while since I've really put effort into it.
