Something that made finally catching Boorman’s masterful Excalibur a joy was the forgotten artistic ranges in our uhd/hdr age: low contrast, soft focus, sfumato / haze, lost edges. To say nothing of many sequences composed as beautifully as any painting. But the low contrast especially stuck with me

For Christmas I bought a Tern ice cream maker. Small yield (personally, a bulwark against ruining my life), fast, capable of a very top shelf churn texture. 5-10 minutes or so from frozen bowl + mix to served is wonderful.
