Photo of a handwritten page. The handwriting is incomprehensible but it's about two kids being sad. It's all Ted's fault and this is 100% definitive proof of their guilt. Just trust me on this one I wouldn't write a sad child it's all Ted's fault.
Yeah ok
It is SO WEIRD getting to see Bertie Carvel in Hot Dad mode! That's my boy there! When did he become Dad?!?
Is that your official statement as a professional lawyer?
I'm not sure who the judge is but they're definitely not happy with any of us
no
Great thanks @brandtandstein.com now the whole court is crying. Look what you've done
And you call yourself a lawyer???? It's appalling that you'd have such poor professional standards after voluntarily choosing this career path for yourself.
[Solemn writerly handshake of mutual admission of crimes]
A drawing by @brandtandstein.com of a perfect horrible seven year old boy having the time of his life
I am currently staring at a page on which this perfect goblin child is in tears so the prosecution is starting at "a million years in the Punishment Hole"
What do you have to say about your client @brandtandstein.com making a fictional child cry???
Yes that's a good angle on this I am actually the good guy for upsetting two fictional children! Thank you! We'll see how you feel when you read this and get sad.
@aplante.com I'll see you in court!!
Your lawyer, Bed Trandt, definitely a real professional.
I'M MAKING A SEVEN YEAR OLD CRY I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW
Yeah unfortunately whoever is responsible for this is a complete bastard. I blame @brandtandstein.com
They really don't! They're nice children! But unfortunately they have to be Sad so I can fix things for them later.
I am not promoting this *nearly enough* thanks to the crushing workload of actually MAKING the book, but!
We’re making a romcom! If you like queer characters, relationship friction, and as much humour as we could cram in, maybe you should read the preview at the link, and possibly even preorder?
I have just made two fictional children very sad :(
I would like to make a complaint about a book. It's the one I'm writing and it just suddenly got really sad and that wasn't the plan at all. Surprise emotions like this are unfair.
Resident Evil The Book, the first official translation of ancilliary resident evil lore, features some of the greatest characterisation for Chris Redfield i have ever seen
A small book with limbs made of rolled-up paper held between the covers and a crudely drawn face sticking out from the top
I don't have kids so I dressed up my book as a child for world book day
SCRATCH MOSS by David Barnett with a miner's lamp and a magpie linocut

Happy World Book Day! My new book is a kindle deal this month if that's your vibe. It's a funny murder mystery with ghosts and pro-wrestling and an angry terrier. I think you'll like it, it may distract you from the horrors. www.amazon.co.uk/Grapples-Wra...
Special shout out to @ldlapinski.bsky.social 's ARTEZANS books, which are a real treat. Pacy, effective, specific, and thoughtfully put together on every level.
A small girl wearing a rabbit costume and blue coat carries a book as she walks to school. Her mother (head out of shot) wheels her baby brother along in a pushchair. The baby says "Peter Rabbit may be the 'Hero' of the story, but surely the obedient, widowed Mrs Rabbit is a more effective symbol of the oppression inherent within Mister McGregor's regime" The girls looks furious and snaps "Mum!! He's critiquing my world book day costume from a marxist perspective again!"
A cartoon reminder that tomorrow is World Book Day (In the UK anyway). Originally for the @theguardian.com
