So part of my view here is: there is a lot of forms of faith, and personal experiences with it globally, that are NOT this traumatizing violent extremist Christianity at baseline. And for me, I feel that American Judaism needs to, in a sense, be “reclaimed” from its appropriation by Protestantism.
But also, of COURSE American Christianity is an awful conflation of Protestant extremism, white supremacy, and right wing ideologies — I’m from a Reform Jewish background, and have watched in horror how American Jewish identities have been CO-OPTED and appropriated by American Christianity!
Being a (very privately) religious leftist, it is…..disappointing when I see other leftists be so viciously and unilaterally anti-religious.
Like, y’all know that, globally, a LOT of people you claim to be allies of and “support”, ARE religious and regard that as a big part of their lives, right….?

So, I guess what this really is is an apology:
I’m sorry that I cannot share out my work, even on a platform and to an audience I WANT to…because I’m afraid of the omniscience of thieving AI companies and the intrusive role they have on using the internet to share things, even inconsequential ones.
Which is not to say I think I’m so unique or important that the AI thing matters, in a practical sense.
But….i’ve always made my art for an audience of one.
And even though I now WANT to share some of that….I know my audience is NOT the AI models or web crawlers.
And that just…makes me kinda sad.
Sometimes, I want to share my weird collage art on here. Especially seeing encouraging posts re: “keep creating.”
I’ve been making them for 15 years, and while they’re not “masterful” art, I have my own style, and explore many themes.
But…I’m terrified of ANY images being slurped into AI models. 😞
