The #RegRNALab is now LEAF certified! LEAF, is an internationally recognised green lab accreditation that aims to build a culture of sustainable practice in laboratories around the 🌎♻️ We are currently just 🥉 but we have our eyes on🥇! Props to Billi Ilkovski & the whole team for getting this done!

Last Friday, Irving Jair García López became the latest PhD graduate of the #RegRNALab. His work focused on characterising lncRNAs in response to light stress in Arabidopsis 🌓🌱 and was jointly advised by Stewart Gillmor.

Papers, thesis, reports & grants - anything that needs to be written and hasn't. We try to do it every year, although we didn't have one last year because there was lots going on and not that much to write. FYI - there are also groups called 'shut up & write' that might be worth looking up

We booked a seminar room at uni for a week. Morning for writing, afternoon for revisions. It was intense. I would love to do the next offsite, but it can be tricky with a young family

I highly recommend it. It can be hard to find the time & focus otherwise

Wrapping up this year's #RegRNALab writing retreat with some pasta 🍝. We advanced on many drafts that should be out the door soon🤞🏽
