When it comes to our social media: Right or left, we need to ask, did the meme/post I'm sharing originate with a Russian troll? Does it promote discord, distrust, and violence? Then the answer may be "yes."
When we condone violence as a solution, we actually chip away at our political rights and voice. If things are preventing us from translating public consensus into political action (e.g., $$ influence), we need to prioritize removing those barriers.
I feel like it is important to point out that the insurance industry murders people when they refuse to cover life-saving treatments. AND, it is within our power to change that. Corporations are government-created entities. We can pass laws restraining or removing them.
