If made with ease I think 4-5 inches is plenty. But I’m a shirt person so ease of 6-8 inches looks like a tent on me. It’s a totally different look in a tall person.

I think bust darts, creating more fabric for fuller busts and then subtracting it back to the original count most helpful if it’s just the bust that is fuller. Wearing an oversized all over piece isn’t flattering. I love that you’re asking.

Purl front and back. I never found a how to either when I came across it in a pattern. I found it looked most pleasing and easiest to do it the opposite of kf&b. So purl through the back leg and then the purl front leg. Pretty it’s sure what I did. No needles at game to double check.
