I've been backing up the collection recently and its on the UK Metrodome sets and AUS Madman releases with the best copy being on the original Madman BluRay release.

There was a special feature on several DVD releases that had unfinished and and finished clips from the film with a bunch of title cards and other filmy elements. At one point in the video it shows Unicron exploding and for a few frames it shows the cartoony boom.
Hidden amongst all the off cut footage on the DVD's for Transformers The Movie was a blink and you'll miss it couple of frames of Unicron going BOOMπ£ TFRaw.com
I've updated the site today with the Transformers Le Film-La Guerre Des Robots French Press Kit scan and update on the G1 Broadcast version playlist.

Added 2 international versions of the 86 Movie to the collection this month along with a bunch of international releases to bring me up to 91 episodes of the Broadcast version of G1 to work with. I also grabbed a Energon Megatron watch to wear at @tfnationltd.bsky.social later in the yearβ±οΈπΏ
I'll be seeing you there π
Found a fascinating article today in a old comic trade magazine from Jan 1985 covering Marvel Productions featuring concept art for then in production series like Transformers and Dungeons and Dragons. archive.org/details/maga...
Looking forward to it pal π
Current Playlist with all the episodes: youtube.com/playlist?lis...
We're now up to 71 out of 98 Broadcast versions of the original G1 Transformers on the YouTube channel + 4 additional alternate versions. Going to be a bit slower now as the final episodes need repairs to be complete but so far only 2 will need to use Rhino footageπποΈ
Are you ready for Transformer Day, May 24thπ₯³
I added another version of the G1 episode War Dawn to the broadcast playlist. This new version includes the proper title card and I modified the audio in act 2 to fix the low pitch of the voices of the originalπΏπ youtu.be/bwoOr69UUPY
A banner announcing Vince DiCola's first ever UK convention appearance, at TFNation 2026. The banner includes a photo of Vince, and an image of the 1986 The Transformers The Movie Soundtrack cover artwork. It notes Vince's key credits (which are mentioned in full in the accompanying URL post) and says TFNation 2026 will take place from 31st July to 2nd August 2026 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

Some letters regarding then upcoming Optimus' return:
For a re-run of the second time they killed off Prime in the season 3 episode of G1 "Dark Awakening" they added a promo for the "Return of Optimus Prime" to reassure kids. TFRaw.com
Here's the one magazine article I've found that covers the fallout of the Death of Optimus Prime in the movie and why they're apologising now.
I timed the audio to the same video track so i could make mkv later but at the moment i'm sorting the online version first but a DDL is part of the plan.
Broadcast version of the G1 season 3 episode Only Human featuring Old Snake aka Cobra Commander from GI Joe. youtu.be/YAs93zR6lo8
I added 2 more episodes to the G1 Broadcast version playlist tonight, the season 3 episode Only Human and this alternate version of The Ultimate Doom Pt3 with the louder SFX audio from the US FHE VHS tape
youtu.be/isJ23QndlxM
Eventually I will make DDL for them but currently each episode is 3GB as I'm keeping them uncompressed for the Youtube upload but later once I'm done i'll get something sorted
I'm now up to 50 episodes of the original broadcast version of the G1 Transformers including all of season 1 and a alternate version of A Plague of Insecticons featuring a louder SFX audio track from the original FHE VHS Tape πΌ www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
I know, That has the remastered version of the episode what I'm doing is finding the non remastered versions which are closer to how the episodes are supposed to look. By DVD I meant the Broadcast version hasn't been on DVD not that the episode hasn't.
The episode "Autobot Spike" is one of the broadcast episodes not on DVD at all except the edited Japanese FSRL version. Using that footage and the Shout DVD i've tried to rebuild the episode. I might try adding the G2 VHS footage later but here's what I have so farποΈπΌ youtu.be/cvSGxXhCEm0
I loved the Icons Unearthed Transformers series on Pluto TV. It mostly covers the Movies but theres a bunch in the earlier episodes about the older series. I even saw a bit of footage of the puppet prime from the archive being used which was cool to see. pluto.tv/uk/search/de...
They could have made a complete version using both the film and broadcast version but the audio would have needed work to fix the timing as it would extend the scene a bit. I double checked the TV rip in the collection and the broadcast version is how it aired.
Clearly those effects were always there, you just couldn't hear them back in that day.π

Thats what Magno sound tried to tell us anyway.π€£
Here's 2 more examples of the differences from the Broadcast version and the Film master for the episode B.O.T.π€
Not many cartoons at the time got the collectors package so what we got was well beyond expectations.
For series 1 especially there was a lot of issues. I think they learned from the issues with the Transformers sets and worked closer with the fanbase before going too far.
