i'll post wips and doodles too. not everything has to be polished and finished. though of course there is still a balance of how much you should post, but you do what makes you happy

and those that mesh with your energy will stick around

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

i still draw quite a bit but i've been feeling content and comfortable sharing bits of my life or OC thoughts instead of being so focused on a clean media tab

it lets me feel present without the pressure. i think that eases the nature of these microblogging sites we artists nest in now
