If America do acquire Greenland, I wonder how long it will take for it to officially be renamed Trumpland?

Yet another story on the news that boils down to "how to deal with the fact that you're poor now" as though most of country having to struggle to get by is both normal and unavoidable. Almost as if the very people benefitting from an unfair system control the media narrative.
Unbelievable to see such a high profile author chatting with the BFS. Great work guys.
Enjoy the evening @justinleeanderson.com
On my way home @easterconuk.bsky.social. A great weekend and very enjoyable con. Met some new people, caught up with some familiar faces. Wonderful relaxed vibe to the whole thing.
Loving karaoke at @easterconuk.bsky.social. I'm a bad singer but I love karaoke so. It's always so supportive, with such great vibes and everyone having fun. I feel like it's the truest expression of what I want the world to be. Also, there's drinking.
First day of @easterconuk.bsky.social and I'm spending a bit of time at the @britfantasysoc.bsky.social table if anyone feels like saying hi or threatening me with violence
Not having a go at Newcastle fans. They've earned a celebration, and it's huge for them. But this is why sportswashing is a thing, the feeling of community, the idea that this state backed team is the same underdog. Newcastle has always been turns fans into Saudi apologists.
Seems like the government's plan to deal with the many pressing social issues is to have more tanks. So that's good, that'll be a big help. I'm sure our underfunded NHS is loving hearing that we're committing more money to being theoretically capable of killing more unspecified enemies.

The cover of The Knife and The Serpent shows a blue knife intersecting with a serpent eating it's own tale against a black and white stylised background
A sci-fi book who's spot on pacing and sparky dialogue make it "like watching a good 'buddy' movie." The Knife and the Serpent by Tim Pratt. Published by @angryrobotbooks.bsky.social #BFSReview britishfantasysociety.org/review/the-k...
I don't know how anyone could spend time on a hospital ward and come to any conclusion other than NHS workers are the best of us. Routinely let down by lack of investment, in staff numbers and equipment. Of the many reasons to hate Tories, their approach to the NHS is my most despised.
Iβm contractually obligated to tell you guys the Boston Red Sox added Jhoestynxon Garcia to their 40-man roster and his nickname is βThe Password.β
