One invented blank VD Eurodisco surface employing top classical musicians to make extra money apeing Love Unlimited. The other invented Franz Ferdinand (I know A Glass Of Champagne was first, but Girls... is more debut album Franz to the point you can imagine Alex singing it). Both AMAZING.

ABBA also never had a million seller during their main lifetime. Dancing Queen sold like 950,000 by 2000, but they had loads of big sellers in general. Oh I dunno. Maybe that has something to do with it.

There's probably something to do with compilations. Hear me out: lots of these tracks are willy-nilly everywhere and licensed galore, whereas Madonna doesn't license. But also the sheer amount of singles she had, yet only recently passed a million (actual) sales on Into A Groove.
