It started two nights ago in Cheshire. The lounge is now adrift in cat hair.

At this stage, even The Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is looking at Suella Braverman and saying "that's a bit much, mate".

Pleased and proud to announce that one of my first short stories to see print, β€œPluto and Tavis D Work the Door,” has been published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Nov/Dec 2023 issue. I wrote it for Carina Bissett’s β€œSeason of the Hare” class. Check it out here: a.co/d/d4EJaqu

If the world is still habitable in 2040 when you turn on the news it will just be two people saying β€œfuck you” to each other back and forth until they cut to a commercial.

Sheree Renee Thomas had the most incredible short story in the 2022 StokerCon book. Some of the images from that story still haunt me. And don’t get me started on Paula Ashe.

Good morning - I hope you slept like a bird's-foot-trefoil-stuffed dingy skipper - I'm starting with β€˜Winter Hare’, Bruno Liljefors, oil on canvas, 1908. Part of our Winter/Christmas card 2023 range.

It is an astonishing collection, and I am grateful for it.

Totes. I’m a fan of popcorn and wine, myself. And ice cream sandwiches. My partner is in the UK and I’m in the US, both of us looking after aging parents, and we both love to cook. So it’s kind of a bummer, but on the other hand, there are plenty of ice cream sandwiches to ease the pain.

It’s a tough transition but I’m grateful for having all that home-cooked stuff in the freezer on nights when I just can’t be bothered.

Right? The freezer is your friend.

He writes the Storyville column over at LitReactor, where he also delivers one of his classes.

He’s put together several horror/spec-fox anthologies, has a few horror novels out, and teaches writing (which is where I know him from).
