He self-financed this movie on his own. But if he ever sought out investors or producers, which afaik he won't, then yeah that could be a problem.
Do what you want, not what people will think of you.
But this matters to him, and I wish society wasn't as cruel as we are to where being the "games guy" would be a negative thing to him or anyone in the first place.
I enjoy some of the worst rated games in gaming history, and I'm proud to stand by my opinion. I also dislike some extremely praised games.
