Jackson unified communities across the country in the struggle for Black liberation.
Though he has passed, his work lives on through each and every one of us, so we must take the baton and continue to organize for repair and equality to honor his legacy.
i think jesse jackson was one of the most important american political figures of the post-war era and i think that his 1984 and 1988 campaigns for the democratic nomination still have a great deal to teach about forging a path to a more egalitarian world. RIP.

The way to an America that lives up to its ideals isn’t by sidelining the truth, it’s by reckoning with our whole history, righting longstanding wrongs, and stepping into the shoes of the Americans who fought to make freedom and equality real for all no matter our races, backgrounds, or genders.
The MAGA regime is set on erasing all the history that doesn’t validate their narrow white supremacist agenda. But Trump’s vision of our country isn’t our past, and we don’t have to let it be our future.
Because we raised our voices, the courts just repeated our demands for the regime to reinstate the whole history at the President’s House. Now we are calling on people of conscience to refuse to participate in Trump’s anti-American, whitewashed 250th and instead, embrace our whole history.
