Gausman deserves the Opening Day assignment
As a teacher we expect support and empathy from our administrators. Most admin I have worked with try their best to support. From time to time we can reciprocate too. Sometimes we have no idea the problems that they have to deal with beyond our classroom. They are humans too.
On this International Women's Day celebrate the achievements of Mary "Bonnie" Baker, an all-star catcher in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and a pioneer for women in sports.
Just watched Speed on TV a couple of weeks ago!
Planning an "Amazing Race Asia" individual project for my Asian Studies 12 class. 3+ different Asia regions, 5+ cities, 2 checkpoints per city. Students need to research and describe the historical and/or cultural significance of each checkpoint. Let's see how it goes. #AsianStudies
I am very excited to see getting off to a great staff. At the same time, I don't want him to make 30 starts during the season. He was well-rested and did very well in the post-season. Will be interesting to see how the Blue Jays navigate him and Yesavage workloads.

I love Myles but a bit worried we are thin with backup infielders especially at SS
This is good idea only if all the other starters can give length in their starts. By pairing Yesavage with another pitcher, it essentially means you are one man short in the bullpen on many days.
Profile of Vincent Chan, a secondary school educator in Burnaby School District, featured in the Association for Asian Studies Member Spotlight.
Ahead of #AAS2026, we have a Vancouver local in the AAS Member Spotlight! Vincent Chan teaches secondary school in British Columbia and looks forward to meeting other members at the Annual Conference next week.

Downtown Vancouver and the historic Gastown are within walking distance. Many varieties of cuisines that you can check out depending on what you want to eat and price range. If weather is good, the view from Vancouver Convention Centre is beautiful.
Less than two weeks away from #AAS2026. Very excited to attend this conference for the first time, and checking out the schedule of sessions as we speak.
A pleasure to present at my school district's Professional Development Day. Great to share and learn from my colleagues at the same time.
My one memory of Brenly was four errors in one inning playing 3B for Giants and then hitting walk-off homer.
The fact Bassitt hasn't signed with anyone is interesting. Can still use him as swingman and definitely in the clubhouse.
Or sell them as a souvenir? First time attendee here.
Winfield wants noise!
Thank you Buck for everything you have contributed to the Blue Jays organization. It has been a privilege watching and listening to your broadcasts since my childhood days.
Most people remember Buck Martinez the player on this remarkable double play. That was my first year following baseball. Still cannot believe how the return throw from George Bell just magically bounced into his glove right before the runner arrived. Thank you for everything Buck! #BlueJays
Buck is not getting any younger. I would be so upset if he is not able to be around for a well-deserved celebration. Level of Excellence. Let's get that moving!
Buck Martinez deserves to be on the Blue Jays' Level of Excellence for everything he has meant to the franchise the past 40+ years. Let's get our voices heard and make it happen!
A Tale of Three Brothers. So glad to attend in-person for the legendary UBC Korean History and Civilization Professor Dr. Don Baker's Capstone lecture. Thanks for all you have contributed to the field through all these years. #AsianStudies
Registered and excited to attend my first AAS Conference in my hometown. Look forward to making new connections. #AAS2026

The team's first home grown LH starter. Would love to see Key on Level of Excellence, but if it hasn't by now it probably won't happen.
I remember him with the Expos, he was fun to watch. And the story about him getting lost on the freeway was epic.
Makes no sense why he isn't
Henke was the team's first true bullpen ace. And we even got Cliff back anyways during the season.
Yesavage was phenomenal last year. Whether he might have innings limit or have some sophomore struggles, I will be reasonable with what I can expect from a young man who jumped four levels last year.
