Yup. I think school makes people think you should only do so with your own age group, and that's so artificial. My friends range in age from early twenties to early eighties. Much healthier imo, not least for the variety of perspectives.

Some disastrous numbers in this new IfG report. Less than half - half - of boys eligible for free school meals meet basic standards of early-years development.

Moudhy is a brilliant and remarkable scholar and author. This should be a great conversation. If you're in Oxford this evening, do come along.

Even if it weren't for the fact that Domino's pizzas are awful, I would probably boycott them on the basis of how annoying their ads are anyway.

Truly fed up of people saying that the way to prevent a huge drift to the far-right is to keep Labour in govt. Their migration polices ARE far-right populist and make way for worse. Trad politics are done. Lab/Tories are done. The next election will not be fought how we've experienced them to date.

Let’s be clear: the DOJ has already been subpoenaed to release these files to the Oversight Committee, and the deadline to turn them over has come and gone.

Now that this has passed in the House, the Senate needs to do its job, and the President needs to sign it.

Today, the House finally passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Survivors have waited years for answers, and the American people have been kept in the dark for far too long.

Every name, every meeting, and every document must be releasedβ€”no excuses, no delays.

Just a thought: How about we stop protecting the reputation of powerful, rich child rapists, and start bringing powerful, rich child rapists to justice?

Breaking: An Epstein survivor just silenced press conference attendees when she delivered the following remarks:

β€œToday we stand in a moment that will decide whether our government belongs to the American people, or to those who prey on them.”

I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Remember: An estimated 70% of congressional Republicans may financially benefit from the tax cuts in their Big Ugly Bill.

While cutting Medicaid and food stamps for millions β€” including many of their own constituents β€” these lawmakers may be enriching themselves.

Priorities.

This is absolutely disgusting. Larry Summers discussed wanting to fuck a former Harvard student who was Chinese with Epstein. He nick named her "peril" a reference to the racist "yellow peril."

Larry Summers needs to resign.

Exactly. And those who are defending them are, at the very least, racist by virtue of mounting such a defence.

I can't work out if John is really that stupid or if this is a deliberately spiteful comment designed to gaslight opposition to obvious racist and fascist policies. He is either a particularly dense tribalist or simply in sympathy with the far right.

Yes. These silly people can't see that stealing asylum seekers' jewelry and deporting them years after they've been granted refugees status and settled here is a totally kind and loving thing to do.
