FRPG GM Tip: To get players and characters into the mindset that itβs okay to flee fights, turn one or more creatures in an encounter into magical or environmental effects. An undead with a necrotic aura might demand to be defeated. A roiling cloud of necrotic energy is something to run from.
I'll be trying a TTRPG PC creation idea I learned from the Mystic Arts DM YouTube: an "Investment Questionnaire".
You ask questions about central themes or conflicts (e.g. "Do you believe the great wizards have earned or stolen their titles?") so PCs have preconceived notions/ideas. Seems fun!
