This is Button. His family decided he was ready to be left home alone for the first time today. As it turns out, freedom can be a little awkward. 12/10 (TT: beginningwithbutton)
AOC: He impulsively went in on Venezuela. He impulsively went in on Iran. It led to increased global instability and every time heβs done that, it has been consistent with a spike in what is happening with the Epstein files. I think that he feels existentially tied to it.

there's a new trend among young people called "microliving" they close their eyes for a few seconds and experience a rich and fulfilling life from start to finish in their minds. birth. friendship. love. heartbreak. joy. loss. grief. death. but how does this affect their productivity at work
People do what you pay them to do.
You pay corporate executives to make stock prices go up, not to make better products.
You pay politicians to get re-elected, not to govern well.
You pay reporters to get a bigger audience, not to tell the truth.
And so forth.
Be aware of what you pay people to do

Sometimes I have lot of anxiety (itβs now, sometimes is now, also always)
My bb invented a new game where she leaves substances around the house and I have to guess whether itβs boogers or bananas. There are no winners in this game
The Epstein files document what many women researchers have long experienced but rarely seen laid bare so starkly: exclusion operating behind closed doors, shaping who gets funded, invited, mentored, and taken seriously. How many of these networks, norms, and gatekeepers remain in place?
