I can't believe this was 23 days ago already. The nerves are real.
That's not even going into the long-debated statistics about what the actual neutral capacity of humans on earth is. Some sources put it as low as 0.5B. Which puts our current numbers at 17x over capacity?
I think civilization can stand to have fewer children for a while. Calm down, Big Media.
Media outlets acting like the declining birth rate is a bad thing boggles my mind. Our estimated world population is 8.3B. The US foster care system alone has over 400,000 kids. There are over 140M orphans worldwide.
We're not taking care of the kids we have and Gen Z not wanting to add is bad??

I got a message about this, so here's a follow-up: I don't recommend this is because capsaicin cream is not sterile and therefore not safe for the eyes. Capsaicin is an irritant and will cause burning and pain in all locations.
Also my patients are prisoners. Their reasons for use are different.
Can I use "international public embarrassment" as a reason to request a citizenship change?
If you think you will be exposed to OC spray, you can reduce your response with incremental exposure of capsaicin cream to your eyes and nose.
For your mouth, just eat spicy food.
Do I recommend this? Absolutely not. Do my patients do it to desired effect? Absolutely yes.

Working from home is mildly anxiety inducing for someone who has had to validate all of their actions for years. I mean, how will my teammates know that I'm working if I'm not working on the same thing as them? They can't see my work so I may as well just not be working at all, right?
The political meme game is so strong. The things regular people post are more brilliant and nuanced than anything that was said in the last electoral debate. It's almost unbelievable. But I'm so glad for it. I hope they make it into history books.
Time to go to the store in little old lady cosplay. But really, I'm disabled and usually get groceries delivered. How is that going to affect my prices?

Every person is replaceable. It's one of the great freedoms of society. If something happened to you today, your workplace would be forced to replace you. Government is just a workplace that's supposed to be for the betterment of society. A person working against that value should be fired.
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Lost all of my writing.
Got a new computer.
Today, it just failed to execute any programs after startup.
Been working on recovery for 4 hours.
Files corrupted.
I have some of them backed up on a cloud now, but I'm afraid I'm about to lose a lot more writing again.
Thinking about copying it, tbh.
As someone that is very susceptible to marketing, the top right catches my attention first but the long squiggly one makes me want to dive in to whatever the heck it is. It grabs my imagination more.
Not to mention the people who want the baby and toddler but not the teen and adult.
My favorite is when it makes a suggestion, you accept the suggestion, then it suggests you change it back to the original. Back and forth forever.

Yeah, that is much worse. I get that from older folks when they see me out with my walker.
"Do you really need that?" My mom about tore someone a new asshole one time when they walked by talking about how I was lazy and inconsiderate for "sitting when [my] mother's standing."
I read this first as "Is it worth it?" And I was like, clearly you already know the answer. Yes, always worth it.
