Honestly, I wish having English as an official langauge would ban the use of luxonisms from our vocabulary.

covid was a large natural disaster - natural disasters need large amounts spent on them. It required an all of government response. Some areas are imperfect in this - and in spending.
I'm meh about the covid reports, I feel it's important to learn and see what can change - and what could be done better. Honestly, after the delta strain came through things were more difficult,
Reti and Collins gone, showing signs of where things are at and the thoughts within senior national members
I think more chance Erica at the moment... but maybe Simeon seeming how chipper he was this morning
either they are all hapless lemmings from what we are hearing outside the room or they are going to backstab him in the room
Sounds like a lot - sending good vibes. I know the challenge of managing energy and doing palliative care for family is stressful.
They may go for a new leader then new finance minister and redone budget with world situation changing. Could see that happening.
Ooh is there any analysis of this verses the ird debt and foreclosures of buisiness because of ird debt.
May have dyslexia. Looks similar to how i can write. Or she's just stretched herself too far
The media swallowed up the double dipping on msd funding. The reality is the Stanford and upston are punishing victims of state crimes
Im more and more convinced that national will be turned out in november.
Its been so frustrating the attack of nuorodivergent and disabled people by Upston and Stanford. Stanford is out of her depth in education and even institutional left wing mps such as Goff go let's see. Instead of listening to parents or neurodiverse children who get attacked by Ministers
Looks like this election campaiign is going to be filled with backstabbing and ratfucking
Question - has luxon checked if any of the team behind him have knives ?
work with nzfirst may also end up been not been in govt but a confidence and supply arrangement - leading to labour/greens minority govt.
there are two ways that chippy can play things - 1) say that he will not have NZ first in govt (more risky but could lead to nzfirst collapse) or say willing to work with NZfirst (will piss of some voters as well and could push some?? to greens).
this has been a long challenging week. have had lots of clients in distress full situations. Looking forward to the weekend and sleep
The only thing that Luxon has delivered, friday poll day discussions about possible resignations! BHN should be fun tonight!
April Snap Election
hearing the the prime minister is considering his options, sounds like the the wheels are in motion for resignation
wouldn't they want it cabinet Monday?
Taxes. But even then most tax increases and levy increases have eoxcured under nats
I remember in political science talking about political culture having periods of change and then periods of consolidation. Post reform there has just been a seeming long period of consolidation while there is a need for radical changes in our political economy to adapt
The collapse of nats vote
there has been quite an air of panic the last few weeks for Nats. Does remind of the end of the Clark govt - where despite changes - the govt could not get themselves in a place where they could win the election
with the Polls - we still have a few months to go - things can be thrown up out of the blue - my feeling ATM is that National are on the back foot and Luxon has a case of foot in mouth and that nothing is landing for the NATs - I do think Labour need to campaign more aggressively than currently
yeah I saw that this morning, the NATs have lost so many of their liberals and are slowly looking like going into a similar crisis to what the Aus liberals are facing - also you look at the messes left by the likes of Simeon Brown in transport and the pain caused to rural communities by bad choices
My partner was talking to a friend who seemed to be on the centrist right wing end - end of last year was still on the fence blaming labour, now their spouse has been made redundant and starting to move more to labour
It will be interesting to see where NZ first and ACT start to sit - if they are holding up atm the right will see a chance, but we could start seeing their vote collapse more - also I hate to say it - TOP may start getting closer to five percent (they seem more blue greens centrist than anything)
