I hadn't cried about how much I love Minneapolis in a few days, so this was a good one to read:

Yesterday, those who teach Intro to Sociology at Florida colleges (as opposed to universities) received a ready-made curriculum from the state and were ordered to teach it.

Yes, you read that correctly. The *state* is enforcing a curriculum on college profs, complete w/ the following restrictions:

ICE doesn't ever "leave" any state. There will continue to be ICE and CBP enforcement actions as there were during previous presidents. Hillary Clinton was saying this in her remarks. She doesn't like the visible violence but she is fine with "regular" violence.

That’s outrageous. It’s one thing to keep shoving AI down our throats, but to slip it in without even telling people? It’s going to normalize human dependency on it without us even realizing.

You can’t even do a normal search on Google Images anymore without AI slop websites creating pictures to match your search, and Google listing the result without any indicator that it’s AI.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
