Installation milestone reached! Our new 1300HR was turned on today for the first time. Meanwhile our guest Dr Joshua Shea from Cambridge is busy with the 7f, measuring trace element partitioning in olivine.
It's our new IMS 1300-HR!! It will be ready for exciting new science projects in spring 2026 - the best time to visit Edinburgh.
Several mysterious boxes arrived at the Ionprobe lab. Can we open them now or do we have to wait for Christmas?
