Iran has now been largely offline for 18 hours, with an #Internet shutdown put into place following strikes by the US & Israel. However, small amounts of Web & DNS traffic are still getting through, and IPv4 routes remain available, suggesting some users and sites are allowlisted for access.
Internet connectivity in Iran is now in a near-complete shutdown, down about 98% vs the previous week. The disruption began around 07:00 UTC, following reports of military strikes โ and in past incidents the government has responded with nationwide Internet shutdowns.

As of 3:30 AM IST, January 27, IODA observed a sharp increase in Active Probing. This signal measures connectivity to the global Internet by pinging devices on Iranian networks and collecting responses in order to label networks as connected.

The Ugandan government has appeared to follow through with a pre-announced Internet shutdown during national elections. IODA data confirms the drop in Internet connectivity.

It appears that the expected #Internet shutdown in #Uganda has been implemented in advance of upcoming elections.
A message from UCC_Official said the suspension of services would be effective at 1800 (15:00 UTC). At that time, we saw traffic from Uganda drop, falling 95% in under 30 minutes.
