As part of the work on our new Comprehensive Plan, I've been reading our 1967 Comprehensive Plan. Thereβs a lot in the 1967 Plan which is interesting, surprising and sometimes contradicts what some view as conventional wisdom. Hereβs what the 1967 Plan projected our zoning to look like in 2000.

In 1948 Emlen Tunnell became the 1st Black player for the New York Giants, 4 years before the Eagles integrated. Emlen was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967. He passed away in 1975. He's buried in Upper Merion.
