The magnolias are out in this corner of the world, earlier than usual. The one by the canal is a beauty. I always think of the Stanley Spencer's magnolias when I see it - could anyone top that painting? I doubt it. Anyway, here are some photos from one of yesterday's walks. Have a good day! xx

It's my little rescue dog's birthday around this time of year. The actual date is anyone's guess, but this year she is eight! Still scared of most other dogs, but also the best snuggler in the world, fond of her 'sister' and partial to being covered up with a blanket. Happy birthday, Summer!

Yesterday, B and I joined a pal for a walk which included Conkwell, the woods, and a cuppa at Hartley Farm. Amazingly, it didn't rain, and a fun time was had by all, especially Bella - so muddy she needed wrapping up in a towel like a little burrito to be allowed back in the car. Have a good day! xx

Another calm light morning. Yesterday, I walked to Alice Park to visit the newly planted sapling from the Sycamore Gap tree, one of 49 given by the National Trust to various places around the UK. I hope that it does well, a reminder of the power of nature to regenerate & overcome. Have a good day! x

I plodded into town at the end of the day yesterday. It was very windy by the canal but calmer in the middle, with some handy puddles for photos. Wouldn't it be nice to sit outside and enjoy a coffee in the sunshine? One day, my friends, one day...
