Today a child murderer died and nothing of value to this world was lost. I hope the families of the two girls he murdered are doing as okay as possible.

Despite the UK right wing throwing their toys out of their pram, I dont much care about alienating Israel and the USA as allies if it means not engaging in another illegal war in the Middle East.

An author who says that their self published book was “self edited” is a massive red flag.

Today is World Book Day. Which is a roundabout way to tell you to buy my books. Here are a few of them.

Finished Resident Evil: Requiem. Phenomenal game. Half survival horror, half the most badass videogame in years. Cool story, great characters. Pure awesome.

If history has taught me anything it’s that waging holy wars in the Middle East are notoriously easy and end well for those starting the war.

Interesting times suck.

Resident Evil: Requiem is superb. The pairing of Grace and her slow, methodical, and occasionally terrifying parts, with Leon’s kicking the hell out of everything that moves, is brilliant.

Green Party win. Absolutely great result. Farage can fuck off into the sun.

One of my favourite things about my job is that I get to see my book covers before they’re revealed to the world. I’m now 3 covers ahead of what has been revealed.

Dear authors, I can’t stress how important this is: You NEVER pay for someone to publish your book. That is called a scam. Stop falling for it.

If someone writes a book you really like, tell them. Leave a rating, leave a review, post about it on social media, email the author. However you do it, it really matters. Authors always appreciate it.

If social media has taught me one thing, it’s that you can’t educate people who refuse to be educated.

I find the initial writing of a book to be pretty straight-forward, if not always easy. That first developmental edit is a lot more taxing and mentally exhausting.

As per usual I feel a bit sad when an Olympics comes to an end. Both the winter and summer versions are probably my most enjoyed sporting events.

If I can give new authors one piece of advice, never read your Goodreads reviews. Just stay away from the place and live a happy life.

Predator Badlands is wonderful fun. Predator has always been a good franchise, but it feels like it’s taken a real step up since Prey.

Yeah, that makes sense.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. Ana de Armas was great and some of the action was superb (and it’s always nice to see Keanu as John), but it dragged in parts and could have done with being tighter paced.

It’s a wonderful thing to have a really good nearby Chinese takeaway.

I really appreciate that.
