Watched DESTINATION GOBI (1953) checked out another Richard Widmark flick. This time he takes on the might Imperial Japan as he leads a team of weathermen [yes, really] out of Mongolia in this WW2 drama. It's not awful, but it isn't good either and the casting of the 'Mongolians' is 'of its time'.

Tin Soldier is a strange film. It’s terrible, but feels like it could’ve worked as mini series. It’s far too overstuffed and for a bad film the solution - for once - would be to make it longer.
