I donβt know why people bother with cocaine when KP Salted Peanuts exist.
An iron age copper alloy arrow-head. Produced in the 11th century BC, found in Barouk. Engraved in Alphabetic Phoenician. Measuring 9.15cm by 1.65cm.
Something a little different for #EpigraphyTuesday. An iron age arrow-head from Barouk, inscribed in Phoenician 'Arrow of Ada, son of Ba'la.' The Phoenicians were a key Mediterranean influence but often sadly overlooked within scholarship.

Stunning shot πΈ Iβve never been!
Currently nap trapped⦠while the dog whines at the door waiting for walkies. This is the type of stress I live for and makes me 100% certain I made the decision not to return to work post 4th baby.
Roblox is tricky. I make sure Iβm around if my [3rd eldest] kid is playing, so I can keep an eye on whatβs going on thereβ¦ and what she wants to play etc.

Thereβs nothing quite like stomping around atop an Iron Age hill fort at Breedon on the Hill, Derbyshire in the heart of ancient MerciaβοΈlater a monastery then a church; βBriudunβ according to the 7th C Anglo Saxon Chronicle, meaning βa hillβ and βthe hillβ. So itβs really βA Hill Hill on the Hillβπ
Because I'm updating them today, I'd like to remind #AncientBluesky that we have *FREELY ACCESSIBLE* Ancient Greek resources at the Open University! πΊ
First, we have a 16 hour free OpenLearn course, which takes you from learning the alphabet to reading simple sentences: www.open.edu/openlearn/hi...
Iβve done some digging as I was curious. It looks like grade 2 pass is the equivalent of an upper second, so a 2:1 for undergraduate. Or, a pass with merit for PG. Do let me know though as I may be wrong ππ
Bluesky?
Please recommend me a thorough, up-to-date history of the Ottoman Empire that I can read before visiting Istanbul this summer.
